It's always special to work with friends especially when they're as talented as the members of SKYROCKET! I was pretty psyched to get approached by the band to make a little film of the live SKYROCKET! experience. So we went in with a few DSLR cameras on a cold autumn Thursday at The Belmont in Austin and came away with this short film. I hope it does the band justice as they are (in my humble opinion) consistently better than 99% of live acts out there (cover or otherwise). Enjoy.
This film was shot on 3 Canon DSLRs. A MKII, MKIII, and 70D (love this camera). We were both on monopods and handheld. Edit was done in FCPX.
My good friends in SKYROCKET! asked me to make a promotional video for them. We went out and shot a show on a cold fall Thursday night and came back with some pretty beautiful stuff. I'm lucky to call everyone in this band a friend...but man are they good at what they do. If you haven't seen them...you're missing out. The video will come out around the 22nd.
